Signing in, and several stores

In short

Sign in at vendordue.com with the email the store invited and your password, or with a passkey. Two-step sign-in is your choice. One account holds every store you sell through on VendorDue, and you switch between them from your page.

VendorIn the app: Account

Your account is yours: the store invited your email address, but only you know your password.

Signing in#

Go to vendordue.com, press Sign in, and enter the email address the store invited and your password. With a passkey, press Sign in with a passkey instead; there's nothing to type.

Two-step sign-in#

Off until you choose it. In Account › Security, under Two-step authentication, choose:

  • Email code: six digits sent to your email each time you sign in with your password.
  • Authenticator app: press Set up and scan the code with an app that shows six digits.

On a computer you use often, tick Trust this device for 30 days when you enter a code.

The store can't make you use two-step, and can't turn it off for you.

Several stores#

If you sell through more than one store that uses VendorDue, give them all the same email address. Your one account then holds every store. Account › Stores lists them.

  • On your page, the store's name sits above everything, with a way to switch: "Switch to your other store".
  • Each store knows you by its own name for you, shown as Name on this store.
  • Each store sees only its own sales and payouts, never another store's.

Sign out "Signs this device out of every store."

Devices#

Devices in Account › Security lists everywhere you're signed in. Press Sign out beside one you don't recognise, or Sign out all other devices.

When it looks wrong#

I forgot my password#

On the sign-in page, press Forgot password? "Enter the email address the store invited, and we will send you a link." The link works once, for 45 minutes. If you use an authenticator app, it asks for a code before the new password. Setting a new password signs you out everywhere else.

My authenticator app was on a phone I lost#

When you sign in, the code we email you is always offered beneath the authenticator box. Sign in with that, then remove the old authenticator in Security and set up a new one.

"This store is not open to you"#

The message under it says why:

It saysWhat happenedDo

"…has archived this relationship…"The store archived youAsk the store, if it's a mistake
"…is closing their VendorDue workspace…"The store is leaving VendorDueAsk the store for copies of your payouts
"…no longer uses VendorDue."The store uninstalled VendorDueAsk the store how they'll pay you from now on

I changed my email address#

Ask the store to move your page to your new address. They do it from their side, and your old address stops working at once. If you sell through several stores, ask each one.

Common questions#

Can the store sign in as me?
No. Nobody at the store or at VendorDue can see or set your password. More
Can two people at my business share one sign-in?
Not safely. One email holds your page at each store. Ask the store to move it if the person changes. More
Is my sign-in the same as the store's staff?
You use the same sign-in page. VendorDue knows which you are from your email. More
