# Signing in, and several stores

For vendors > Your account · For vendors · https://vendordue.com/docs/vendor-signing-in

**In short:** Sign in at vendordue.com with the email the store invited and your password, or with a passkey. Two-step sign-in is your choice. One account holds every store you sell through on VendorDue, and you switch between them from your page.

Who: Vendor. Where: Account.

Your account is yours: the store invited your email address, but only you know your password.

## Signing in

Go to vendordue.com, press **Sign in**, and enter the email address the store invited and your password. With a passkey, press **Sign in with a passkey** instead; there's nothing to type.

> **Recommended:** Add a passkey in **Account** › **Security** with **Add passkey**: "Sign in with your fingerprint, face or device lock instead of a password." There's nothing to remember and nothing to reset, and it counts as both steps of a sign-in.

## Two-step sign-in

Off until you choose it. In **Account** › **Security**, under **Two-step authentication**, choose:

- **Email code**: six digits sent to your email each time you sign in with your password.
- **Authenticator app**: press **Set up** and scan the code with an app that shows six digits.

On a computer you use often, tick **Trust this device for 30 days** when you enter a code.

The store can't make you use two-step, and can't turn it off for you.

## Several stores

If you sell through more than one store that uses VendorDue, give them all the same email address. Your one account then holds every store. **Account** › **Stores** lists them.

- On your page, the store's name sits above everything, with a way to switch: "Switch to your other store".
- Each store knows you by its own name for you, shown as **Name on this store**.
- Each store sees only its own sales and payouts, never another store's.

**Sign out** "Signs this device out of every store."

## Devices

**Devices** in **Account** › **Security** lists everywhere you're signed in. Press **Sign out** beside one you don't recognise, or **Sign out all other devices**.

## When it looks wrong

### I forgot my password

On the sign-in page, press **Forgot password?** "Enter the email address the store invited, and we will send you a link." The link works once, for 45 minutes. If you use an authenticator app, it asks for a code before the new password. Setting a new password signs you out everywhere else.

### My authenticator app was on a phone I lost

When you sign in, the code we email you is always offered beneath the authenticator box. Sign in with that, then remove the old authenticator in **Security** and set up a new one.

### "This store is not open to you"

The message under it says why:

| It says | What happened | Do |
| --- | --- | --- |
| "…paused your access…" | The store paused your page. Nothing is lost | Ask the store |
| "…has archived this relationship…" | The store archived you | Ask the store, if it's a mistake |
| "…is closing their VendorDue workspace…" | The store is leaving VendorDue | Ask the store for copies of your payouts |
| "…no longer uses VendorDue." | The store uninstalled VendorDue | Ask the store how they'll pay you from now on |
| "…removed your access to their payouts." | The store took your page away | Ask the store |

### I changed my email address

Ask the store to move your page to your new address. They do it from their side, and your old address stops working at once. If you sell through several stores, ask each one.

## Common questions

**Can the store sign in as me?** No. Nobody at the store or at VendorDue can see or set your password.

**Can two people at my business share one sign-in?** Not safely. One email holds your page at each store. Ask the store to move it if the person changes.

**Is my sign-in the same as the store's staff?** You use the same sign-in page. VendorDue knows which you are from your email.
